We are home for the rest of the summer, well at least Randy and the girls are. Last weekend we went back to pick up Kristin from her Aunt and Uncle's house in Floresville. She had such a good time. I'm so glad she's old enough to enjoy being away, but still young enough to enjoy being home! We spent a few days with Gary, Julie, Sarah and Jack and families. We went into San Antonio one day and just hung out the other days. It was fun, but we are all glad to be home for awhile. That's a bit misleading because Randy is going with the men from church on a retreat on Friday. Then I leave for preteen camp on Monday with the kids from church. We are taking 38 3rd - 6th graders to Camp His Way in Zavalla, TX. It's a great place and I'm sure it's going to be a lot of fun. Randy will be here with the girls, hopefully his sister Sarah will be able to come for a few days to give him a bit of a break.
I'm done with Terrific Tuesday's this summer. I'm glad! They are a lot of fun for the kid, but a lot of work for me. I enjoy the trips though. Yesterday we went to Johnson Space Center. Kristin went with me, that was fun. Next week is preteen camp and then we come right back to music camp - the kids learn a musical in a week and then perform it on Sunday night. It's a lot of work, but so much fun! Our music pastor is really in charge, I just go and help. Then the kids go back to school, so my summer is almost over! I'm looking forward to getting my family back on a normal routine. We've had a great summer, but it's so crazy! I'm ready for a little more normal life - if there is such a thing :-)
