Labor Day

I'm so glad that tomorrow is a holiday! Randy will be home with us - I know the girls will love it. It's also a day to sleep in!
Today our good friends the Johnston's had us over for dinner while our friends the Jackson's were back visiting. They have moved this last month to a town near Waco. Their son is close to Kristin's age, so it was fun for them to play together tonight.
I resigned from the church and it was announced today at church. I'm so glad that people know and I'm so excited that I'm almost done. I totaly enjoy working with the children, but am looking forward to being home again with my girls more often, especially next summer! I have really been honored that our church trusts me so much with the children, but I know it's time for me to be home with my children while they are little. I know Randy is glad I'll be done too!
I'm just praying now that the right person comes along to take over!
I'm also hoping that Discovery Toys and Reliv really can compensate financially for this decision, but I know that God will provide for us because He's the one that allowed me to be done at the church.
Awana is in full swing, and going well so far. The girls are still enjoying school and Randy's year is going ok. Still stressful and he's still trying to get ahead, but he's doing ok. I'm ready for the weather to cool off and the humidity to drop so we can spend more time outside! The girls love to be outside, but it's so miserable we don't go out very much.
I'm going to be running a 5K in October, so I've been running some, but probably not enough. I'm also going to start doing pilates again - or at least that's my plan. I hope I can stick to it. I know I need to!!
