Happy New Year Everyone!
I haven't written since Christmas, so I guess this will be an update over the last couple of weeks.
We enjoyed time with the Smith side of the family before Christmas. The girls got more presents than we almost had room for. They loved it. They love spending time with their cousins and aunts and uncles. I wish we could do it more often. Kristin got mostly craft items, colors, markers, paint, glitter, stickers....you name it she got it. She also got Barbie 12 Dancing Princesses - the DVD to help her learn to dance. I really need to sign her up for some kind of dance, but we'll see. Olivia got a "real" shopping cart with lots of food for it. She pushes it around everywhere! She also got some new puzzles which she's already mastered! She loves puzzles!! She also likes to use Kristin's art supplies - but doesn't always stay on the paper :-)
After our weekend with the Smith side we flew to Indiana to be with my parents. That was a great time. We didn't have the snow we were hoping for, but Jacqueline and Jonathan - my brother Brad's kids were there. Kristin and Olivia had SO much fun again with their cousins. We did see snow on Christmas night, but it wasn't very much and by the next day it was gone. Overall it was just a really nice visit. The best part was watching my mom open a gift that all of my brothers and sisters and my dad went in together to get her. It was a really nice cape - something she would NEVER have bought herself, but will use. It's always kind of hard to find something for someone who doesn't need anything and has everything!
We came back to Texas on the 27th and have just enjoyed being back. Randy went back to work yesterday and I'll go back on Friday. I'm SOOOO glad to be done working at the church and will consentrate on being the best preschool teacher I can be! I will continue to be in charge of Awana for the rest of this school year, but then I'll probably give it up. I will help, but not be in charge!
I only have one New Year's resolution and that is to run in a 10K race some time this year. So that will entail me to exercise more and in result hopefully lose weight! I'm not sure when or where the race will be, but I know it won't be anytime too soon...Fall probably - I'll need that much time to get into shape!!
I wish everyone a very Happy New Year
