Winter has arrived

Winter has finally reached south Texas! It's in the mid 30's right now with a windchill in the 20's! That's really cold for here. We are so greatful for a warm house! I went to work out this morning around 6 and thought how blessed I was to be able to go to a warm gym and then come home to a warm home. I'm also really glad I don't work on Tuesdays! The girls will stay inside all day since they are both recovering from a weekend of being sick. Each of them took their own nights to be sick. Of course it's always at night when my children decide to throw up! I was also very glad Randy had Monday off for MLK day. We were able to recover and get some much needed rest. Olivia is still coughing, and has a really hoarse sounding cry. It actually sounds really cute, but I'm sure she still doesn't feel great.
I'm working on being able to run a 10K sometime this year. My friend Holly from Wisconsin is going to train with me. I know how does that work. Well, we are just both going to try to get in shape enough to run a 10K together. She said she'd come here to do it with me. We are planning on something in the fall or if we can't find a race close enough we'll just wait until next January and run in the Houston half marathon! I've never been a really long distance runner, but it's never too late to start. Anyone else with me? Let me know if you are up for the challenge!
