Anne's Kitchen

Today is the start of something new for me. I'm going to TRY to put a new recipe on my blog each week. I get tired of cooking the same 10 - 15 things for my family, so I've decided to try to make some new recipies this summer. After I cook something, good or bad, I'll put it on here. Now, some of these might be old favorites for my family, but I'll share them anyway. If you have one you want to share, please do. I love new recipies!
Here's the first!

Country Meat Pie

1lb ground meat
1 egg
1/2 C bread crumbs
3 small cans tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
2 C. cooked rice
1/2 t. pepper
1 C. shredded cheese

Preheat over to 400. In medium bowl mix meat, egg, bread crumbs, 1 can tomato sauce, onion powder, salt and pepper. (Make it like a meat loaf)
Pat down into a 13 x 9 inch pan. Take your cooked rice and mis in 2 cans tomato sauce, pepper and salt.
Pour over bottom layer evenly.
Put in over and cook for 30 -45 minutes. Take out and sprinkle with cheese.
Put back in over until cheese is melted.

I will say this is a really easy recipe and my family really liked it. The girls cleaned their plates and Randy went back for seconds! Let me know what you think.

Happy Cooking!
