Anne's Kitchen

I haven't done a very good job at giving weekly recipes, but I have been cooking! I'm going to give you the Smith family (I mean all of Randy's side) favorite dessert I make.

Oreo Cookie Dessert

1 package of Oreo cookies
1 pkg cream cheese
1 stick of butter
1 tub of cool whip
2 sm. instant vanilla pudding
3 C. cold milk

Crush up 2 rows of the oreo cookies (Do this anyway you want). I usually put them in a zip lock bag and smash them up. Melt the butter and mix with smashed oreos. Put this into a 9x13 pan as your crust.
Mix vanilla pudding and 3 C. of milk. If you were to follow the directions on the box it would take 4 C. of milk, but trust me on this, just use 3 C. Once this is done, cut your cream cheese into small pieces and beat into pudding. I like to use a blender, but a mixer works also. Place this mixture on the oreo crust.
I usually put this into the refrigerator for awhile to make it good and stiff. While you are doing this be sure that your cool whip is soft enough to spread.
Spread cool whip over pudding mixture and then use the remaining cookies and top! You can crush them again or how ever you want to do it. I usually break them apart with my hands - then you can lick your finger when you are done and get some of the good white middle of the oreo. Place the finished product in the frig. for at least a couple of hours. The colder the better, but don't freeze!
ENJOY!!
