Anne's Kitchen

Here's another favorite of the Oliver family that has now become a favorite of the Smith family. Growing up this was what I always thought Spanish Rice was, now that I live in Texas and eat Mexican food I now call this the Yankee version of Spanish Rice!

Spanish Rice (for a Yankee)

1 lb of hamburger
1 can of tomato sauce (15 oz)
1 can of water
3/4 or less C of rice

Brown meat and season to taste. Add tomato sauce and water and rice. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes. Serve!

It's SO easy. We always serve it with a veggie and bread. Enjoy!
