Kristin got new glasses yesterday. She was very excited. When we went to the eye dr. on Wednesday he changed her perscription just enough that she will now be able to see 20/20 and 20/25. With her old glasses she only saw 20/30 at best! We weren't sure we would ever be able to get her to see this well, so we are SUPER excited. She really likes her new glasses since I really let her pick them out.
Another reality hit me this week. I register my little girl for Kindergarten in 2 weeks. I've been looking forward to it until I realized it was actually going to happen! I know that sounds crazy, but when I started looking for her birth certificate, shot records, and other things it really hit me that come fall she will be without me during the day. I've pretty much spent everyday of her life with her (with a few days away). We were together all that first year when I didn't work and now that I do work she's right across the hall each day. Next year will be very different for both of us! I'm sure I will cry that first day of school, but I won't do it in front of her! I also said I would never be that parent that goes super early to wait in the car line...well...I'll see about that :-)
