Baking Cookies

Each day for the past few weeks I've been really working with Kristin on reading and math. We did it off and on all summer, but with school just around the corner I decided to get going full force again. The past two days the school work has been helping me make brownies and cookies. She loves to help anyway, but by making her do some reading and looking at the numbers has made it even more fun! She's realizing the reading is important for more than just reading books. Today Olivia wanted to help make cookies too. Here are a few pictures of the process.

Brilliant way to get your kid to enjoy reading. I love that idea as it gets them involved (and satisfies a sweet tooth!).
