Ike update

After a last minute decision last night we packed up pictures, important papers, and a few clothes and headed to George West, TX. Randy's sister and brother in law live here. We are pretty sure there is a manditory evacuation in our county now, so we are glad we left early. There was no traffic to deal with, but I did struggle to stay awake. It was great to get here and have a good night rest. We are watching the weather often and hoping for an even more northerly turn of IKE. Right now the center of the storm is heading almost directly at Angleton. That would be bad to say the least! God's in control and we are trusting His mercies. We'll keep you upated!

Sending prayers right now...for safety for you...your house...your friends...your community. Probably wise to make a better safe than sorry decision...but wow, can't imagine trying to pick the things I wanted to make sure to have...guess it really makes you double think what you value in life!

God's blessings on you...glad you have a safe and warm place to stay!

Hey Anne...can you find out updates on your county via their website? I know our county has a website for that. Anyways...glad you got out and are safe. I hope when you return you find everything close to how you left it! Love to your family!
