Sunshine again

Today is a GOOD day here in Angleton, Texas - we have SUN! It's been a week since we had a really sunny day, and the past few days we've had lots of rain. I really think it rained ALL day yesterday, not hard rain just constant. Our back yard is a mess with all the rain, but today is a SUNNY day, so hopefully it will dry up a little bit. I've opened all the shades in the house to let the SUN shine it. It reminds me of my own life, on days when I'm not feeling very "Christian" I shut all the shades in my life and just feel gloomy. I shouldn't be that way because everyday the life of a Christian the SON should be shining. I need to always have the shades in my life open to let the SON shine out of me, but I forget that too often! I've tried the last few days to say "This is the day the LORD has made, I will rejoice and be glad" every morning before I get too far into my day. It's just such a great reminder that no matter what the weather is outside that in my life there is always the SON. Sometimes I have to make myself be glad, but if I remember who's I am and what my purpose in life is, being glad comes a lot easier.
