I don't really have much to write today, but thought I would just ramble a little bit anyway.
The girls are doing so well in school. Kristin loves it. Today they had creative movement, which is our schools form of "music" class. They played a game where you passed a snake and then had to act out an animal if you ended up with the snake. She just went on and on about how great this game was. She also likes her teachers a lot, so that makes going each day an easy task. She's excited for next week because they are going to start "learning how to read". Actually they are just going to start with the vowel sounds and then will go into blending letters soon, but she's still excited.
Olivia is still having fun in her class too. The curriculum in her class is all about the senses. Right now they are talking about their ears and hearing. She goes around all day saying, "Mommy, I hear something." This is what her teacher has been saying and asking them what do they hear. It's SO cute! She's been really tired this week, so today she had a little melt down on the playground, but since I'm out there with my class at the same time I just held her. That's one of the many blessings of being at the school with my kids!
Randy is still dealing with the poison ivy. It's not spreading, but it's not going away either. Tonight it's really itchy, so he might be back at the doctor tomorrow. I just hope it goes away soon!
I'm fine. My voice still kind of comes and goes, but it's getting better. I'm sure I'll try to rest it a lot this weekend. I had a great run this morning, again it was a bit cooler than it has been, so that makes a world of difference. I start leading the Bible Study on Sunday and I'm super excited for that.
I have one prayer request. My nephew Jonathan, Brad and Deb's son, will be having eye surgery tomorrow in Virgina. He's 4 years old and has something wrong with the muscles in his eye. The doctor is really good and they are anticipating great results, but it's still scary. Please pray that everything goes well.
That's the Smith Update for tonight!
