Pumpkins

We have had a wonderful weekend! Friday the girls and I had a day off, but Randy had inservice. My sister and brother in law - Sarah and Jack - came for the weekend. When Randy got home we headed to the pumpkin patchin Lake Jackson. We had gone last weekend, but the pumpkins were not there yet due to a hurricane. I love this pumpkin patch! The girls have so much fun just running around and I took all kinds of pictures. Here are just a few:

Olivia liked the mini pumpkins
A little too heavy for Kristin

This hay is really scratchy mom...hurry up.

These pumpkins sure are comfortable!
The perfect pumpkins!

After the pumpkin patch we headed to Chuck E Cheese. We decided to go there instead of the County Fair. It was too muddy, and just too expensive.

Today Kristin played another soccer game. She had the first goal of the game! It was a beautiful morning for soccer. Randy and I tore down our fence that "IKE" started for us. Then the girls and I carved their pumpkins they got at the Pumpkin Patch. We even roasted the seeds this year! Here are their pumpkins now:

What a fun weekend!

Too fun for you guys! One year you'll have to come up to MI and pick your pumpkin right off the vine! :)

The first weekend in October is Pumpkin Days in Republic, MO. It is one of 8 sites nationally for the great pumpkin contest. This years first place winner weighed in at 1240 pounds(yes over 1/2 TON). No word on where that placed them in the nation as of yet. The 'Prettiest' pumpkin winner weighed a mere 380 pounds. These gourds are the size of Cinderella's carriage. Looks like you had a great time.
