Week in Review

It has been a crazy week and it's not even over. I just know I won't have any time tomorrow to write and we leave early Saturday morning for Missouri and then to Arkansas on Monday with my entire family! I can't wait! I honestly am not at all looking forward to a 12 hour drive. I've already packed a lot of snacks, DVD's, books on tape and coloring books. Hopefully that will help to pass the time.
So, to review this week. I've been helping with VBS at the Methodist church where I am a preschool teacher. It's been so much fun. The theme is Galilee by the Sea by Group Publishing. Those of you involved with VBS might have heard of it. It's different than any VBS I've ever been involved with, so that makes it nice. But the best part of all is that I'm just a helper and not incharge!!! Kristin has had a fun time too.

Craft Time

Assembly time, where they learn music. Everything takes place in the gym.

Each night this week, excpet Tuesday we've had something to do. Monday we went to our friend's the Johnston's house for dinner and swimming. Our former pastor Roy and Jennie and their 4 kids were there also, so that was super to catch up with them too. The girls had a great time swimming and of course the food was great. It always is at their house!

Kristin loves her new life jacket.

Wednesday night started a 3 day Spiritual Renewal services at our church. It was really good and I'm sorry we aren't able to go the rest of the week. It's something our church really needs with all the trouble and changes that are going on right now. Randy and I have decided to stay at our current church and am praying for great things to come.

Tonight we went to the zoo in Houston for a special members only night. It would have been even more fun if it hadn't started to rain. The girls got a "passport" and had it signed at 5 different parts of the zoo and they were able to get a free bag with some prizes in it. We didn't stay as long as we had planned, but it was still fun.

The girls chekcing out a very odd looking bird!

I should be packing right now, but am not motivated just yet. I'm sure at this time tomorrow night I'll be totally stressed out and wishing that I had packed sooner!
I won't be posting a recipe this week. So far our menu has been very limited this week and tonight was the best recipe ever....calling Papa John's!
